कानपुर अग्निकांड का जायजा लेने नेता प्रतिपक्ष अखिलेश यादव पहुंचे थे. अखिलेश यादव ने सरकार पर हमला बोलते हुए कहा कि जिन व्यापरियों का नुकसान हुआ है सरकार उनकी भरपाई करे. साथ ही ये भी कहा कि प्रशासन आग के बहाने व्यापारियों को परेशान ना करे. प्रशासन व्यापारियों को डराने और धमकाने का काम करेगी
