लोकसभा चुनाव से पहले ही मायावती और अखिलेश यादव आमने-सामने खड़े नजर आ रहे हैं. दोनों के बीच वार-पलटवार का दौरा लगातार चल रहा है. पहले खबर आती है कि इंडिया गठबंधन की बैठक में अखिलेश साफ कह देते हैं कि अगर इंडिया गठबंधन में बसपा को लाने का सोचा जा रहा है तो सपा खुद को गठबंधन से अलग कर लेगी. फिर मायावती ने गेस्ट हाउस कांड का जिक्र करते हुए जान का खतरा बताया और समाजावादी पार्टी पर आरोप लगा दिया.
