देवरिया के फतेहपुर गाँव की उस घटना को कौन भूल सकता है। जहां एक ही परिवार के पांच लोगों की हत्या कर दी गई। खबर आई कि उसी गाँव के रहने वाले प्रेमचंद यादव की पहले हत्या हुई उसके बाद भीड़ ने सत्य प्रकाश दुबे के परिवार पर हमला कर दिया और परिवार के 5 लोगों की हत्या कर दी। पुलिस ने इस मामले पर जब छानबीन शुरू की तो पता चला कि नवनाथ मिश्रा नाम का शख्स इस कांड का मुख्य आरोपी है। दावों की माने तो नवनाथ मिश्रा प्रेमचंद यादव का बचपन का दोस्त था और उसकी गाड़ी चलाता था।
